Wheelchair Athletes Ride from Niagara Falls to Queen’s Park in support of Spinal Cord Research.
The whole team celebrates a great ride in front of the legislature buildings at Queen’s Park in Toronto.
On Saturday, September 8th a small band of wheelchair athletes set out on a major journey, a major journey in the hopes of finding a cure for spinal cord injuries. Their final destination, reached on Wednesday the 12th: Queen’s Park in Toronto. Through the 5 days would come rain, exhaustion (and exhaust) cheering fans and many dubious lane changes. That’s 212 kilometers. ATS Healthcare Solutions helped the sponsors of the 2007 Golden Horseshoe (Wheelchair) Marathon by picking up wheelchairs, storing them and finally on the last day being a real and visible part of the finale. Thanks on our team go to ATS National Safety and Compliance Manager, organizers from both ATS Hamilton and ATS Toronto but especially to our ATS drivers for their willing support.

LOOK GOOD FEEL BETTER – ‘Nothing can take your beauty away, not even cancer.’
Look Good Feel Better® is a national, non-profit program committed to empowering women to take control of the appearance related effects of cancer and its treatment. This unique program was founded, and is supported primarily by, the member companies of the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association, as well as through various external sponsorships. The heart of the program is a free 2-hour hands-on workshop (Signature 12-Step Program), complete with a valuable complimentary cosmetic and personal care kit. At the workshop women with cancer learn simple cosmetic techniques, hair alternatives, nail and skin care and cosmetic hygiene, to help them manage the appearance related effects of cancer and its treatment. The workshops are led by a total base of 1800 volunteers, all of who are industry trained cosmetic advisors, and hair alternatives specialists, that generously donate their time and expertise. Since its inception, Look Good Feel Better has delivered the workshop to over 60,000 women.
ATS supports Look Good Feel Better by generously donating $25,000 in transportation services every year. ATS is also the sole transportation provider of the workshop cosmetic and personal care kits, which are delivered to the 100 hospital and cancer care facilities across Canada every year, and are vital to the success of the program. ATS is proud to be a continued supporter of Look Good Feel Better.
