The ATS Facilities Story:

Our expansive network of 23 facilities across Canada is only the beginning. ATS opens state of the art logistics centres currently at the rate of one major facility a year: Montreal in Spring 2005; Vancouver February 2006; and Toronto, opening in June 2007.

MONTREAL:

Montreal: 125,000 sq. ft., state of the art scanning and sorting, temperature managed throughout, 60 ‘air baffled’ loading docks.

In 2001, with increasing demands for quality, safety and speed from Canada’s healthcare sector for the transportation of temperature-sensitive goods, and with new industry and government standards on the horizon, officials at Toronto-based Andlauer Transportation Services (ATS) identified the need for improving their temperature-sensitive services and facilities. One of the results is a 125,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art, temperature managed warehouse in Montreal that opened in March 2005. Click here to read more.

VANCOUVER:

Vancouver: YVR 106,000 sq. ft. state of the art scanning and sorting, temperature controlled through12 HVAC units, 64 ‘air sealed’ loading docks.

TORONTO:

96 Disco Road

AT 165,000 sq. ft., this new ATS-YYZ custom designed cross docking facility will have more than double current processing capacity. The conveyor will be completely automated with the highest quality bar code camera technology. The conveyor has built in redundancy with two mirrored sorters. The entire conveyor is approximately 2.8 kilometers long and is motor controlled so packages will always move in a controlled fashion, thus minimizing the change of damaging customers’ shipments. With this ‘super facility’ ATS is building and extrapolating from the technological platform established in Montreal and Vancouver.

There will be no wasted space with racking for 1,200 pallet positions and conveyor suspended from the mezzanine reaching right up to the roof line. It will have a backup generator so when the power goes out…the ambient temperature throughout the entire facility will stay controlled and… ATS will still be delivering!!

MONCTON:

The ATS facility in Moncton displays typical ATS twin obsessions with cleanliness balanced with ergonomic good sense.

With over 650 drivers and staff trained in temperature management technologies, it’s no wonder that ATS warehouses across the network are organized into neat, accessible rows; with products stacked so that air flows easily around and under each pallet; over floors cleaned and polished with Zamboni-like precision.
